The gite is a barn conversion that has been entirely renovated
with the same care and attention to detail as our own home. The floors are tiled with terracota tiles and the
walls limewashed. There is an imposing timbered ceiling and it is decorated throughout with the colours of
the South. You will be charmed by its confort and authenticity. The gite is 100sqm on two levels, kitchen
with french windows opening into the garden on the first level and on the second level a sitting room,
bathroom and three bedrooms one being on a spacious mezzanine.
The gite is in the Domain of the
Mas de Cournon dating from the IXth century which according to
history the King Charlemagne passed the night here on his journey to
Saint-Guilhem.

The Domain Mas de Cournon is in a wildlife protection zone and
here you can see rare Bonnelli eagles as
well as game birds, hares, rabbits and foxes. The countryside surrounding the
gite is typical to this region and
the views are panaramic. In the spring there are wild mushrooms and asparagus,
a treat not to be missed !
The gite is well placed between sea
and mountains, the national autoroutes is surprisingly not far.
There are beautiful sandy beaches which are close to the town of Montpellier a
place of great cultural interest
surrounded by little villages and vineyards. You will be in the heart of
Languedoc where you can spend your
time in cultural, sporting or relaxing pastimes.
